Moje zainteresowania naukowe skupiają się na ekologii lasu, a w szczególności mechanizmach odpowiedzialnych za regeneracje drzew. W centralnym punkcie znajdują się lata nasienne. Wiele roślin, w tym większość gatunków lasotwórcznych naszego obszaru świata, produkuje nasiona raz na kilka lat, w sposób zmasowany i zsynchronizowany na dużych obszarach (nawet sub-kontynentalnych). Zjawisko to odgrywa kluczową rolę zarówno dla odnowień lasów jak i funkcjonowania sieci pokarmowych. Więcej o tym zjawisku i moich badaniach można poczytać w Życiu Akademickim tu i tu.
